DUE TO RELOCATION THERE WILL BE NO FURTHER CDDKMUSIK.COM SHOWS UNTIL MID 2004
We are sorry about this but hopefully we will be able to resume normal services as soon as possible
|
CDDKMUSIK.COM's Shows were designed to enable bands to
perform in a quality music venue in front of varied audiences and to
thereby increase their public awareness, their cds and merchandise sales
and their following of supporters. Unfortunately we are having to postpone future shows for the time
being as we are relocating our venture to Wales UK. Hopefully it won't be too long before we start running them again though
so,
keep checking this section of the website and once we get on the road again
come along and meet us some exciting new bands we are already lining up to perform.
There's some outstanding music to be heard and you will have yourselves a great night out while
supporting "Live" music. A lot of time and effort is spent by the bands who appear
on any shows, making sure they give a performance to remember - and just think -
when they have made it you can say you saw and supported them at the beginning - at a CDDKMUSIK.COM Show!
Be sure to buy their cds and anything else they may have on sale coz it could be
worth a fortune in years to come!

The God Of Hellfire
From Southampton, Hampshire
From Southampton, Hampshire
Just a brief note to the Star of our Show - thank you Arthur for appearing at our show and fulfilling the dreams not only of CDDKMUSIK.COM but those who performed on the same stage as you.
You gave them something they will never ever forget - a chance to play alongside one of their legends. Thanks too to the staff of the
Joiners who helped make the evening run smoothly and to Mark who worked hard to maitain the high level of sound engineering that this venue is accustomed to.
Thank you to Nick & Chris from The Giant Pocket Orchestra and to the support bands Careless & Spyderbaby. Next time we'll pack the place out.
On with the review:
Another poor apathic Southampton night - how many more times must we make excuses for the city's music followers.
Always blighting on about not enough live music going on and when there's a top class show on they stay in their holes.
Shame on you Southampton for not coming out. This was an outstanding night of sensational music provided by 2 quality local bands and of course by the
God Of Hellfire himself - Arthur Brown. Still it was your loss Southampton and what a loss it was.
With an audience of around 50 - 60 we were treated first of to an awesome set
by local rock band Spyderbaby, who put on what I reckon was their best performance to date. It was lively exciting and perfectly executed. What a band this is turning out to be.
Stu your vocals were superb as was your performance sensational. Ollie - well you have got rid of all those inhibitions and are relaxed and confifdent now - you are a natural on stage and your guitar playing was faultless. Mike - you
must be one the livliest Bassists in town. You are exciting to watch and exciting to listen to. Andy - you were excellent and your drumming kept that spyderbaby sound tighter than ever.
Spyderbaby were invited to take part in this show at the last minute - we wished we had been able to have included them from the beginning but thanks for standing in - you did a
set to remember and I know you were honoured to play the same stage as The God Of hellfire. Well done - you have gained major respect and it can only do you good for your future.
Next on stage was the God Of Hellfire himself. Read a full review of Arthur's performance here
Finally to bring the evening to an explosive conclusion, Careless stepped up onto the boards. Wow!
What a perfromance. Abolutely superb yet again. Careless at their best? I think so - they are really coming across with some showmanship and are oozing in confidence.
Loved Mick's light you up jacket! Confident and exciting the band put on a top class perfromance for the remaining audience and brought the evening to a banging and explosve end.
Thanks to those of you who were able to come along to this amazing show - especially Alan & Pat who came down from London and to Matthew who also travelled that journey. Support might have been thin on the ground but those who did come
were definitely treated to a unique perfromance and most had the pleasure of meeting Arthur himself.

CDDKMUSIK.COM ROCK SHOW
6TH NOVEMBER 2003 |
The Joiners Arms,
St Mary Street,
Southampton
FEATURED
From Southampton, Hampshire
TINNITUS
From Portsmouth, Hampshire
jMU
From Eastleigh, Southampton, Hampshire
Well, on a pretty dank November night weatherwise, the turn-out for tonight's show was to say the least dreadful.
With the local cinema putting on the first showing of Matrix 3, graduation day at the local university,
a major dj night at one of Southampton's clubs and again a lack of committment from all those who probably
spend most of their time saying there's never anything to do or nowhere to go it was surprising that
those who turned up did. Still, loyal followers of the band Spyderbaby did turn out to support their
favourite band and it was great to see just that.
The night started with the band jMU filling in
for the last minute cancellation of the band M.O.T. whose singer had gone down with the flu virus. A much
more polished and confident performance by this band provided a brilliant start to the night and showed that this band are definately
beginning to mature and gain take full advantage of the experience they have gained over the past 6 months.
Despite a few sound problems which were nothing to do with the band they showed that they are a band who have their vision firmly in their sights.
A big big thank you for standing in at the last minute.
Tnnitus, a young band from Portsmouth, followed with their own style of Metal/Rock and though inexperienced and extremely nervous certainly had appreciation from those who were in the audience
and will have learnt a lot from their inclusion in this event. Playing only their 2nd gig and being away from home they performed a solid set
and have the potential to go a long way in the future.
"SPYDERBABY" - well what can we say?! They were absolutely outstanding! The deserved to headline without a doubt.
This was probably the best show they have performed technically and visually and they really rocked the
venue. They were positive, relaxed, confident, tight and had the sort image and presence that makes this a now awesome
outfit. Most of the audience comprised of SYDERBABY followers. It really does the band credit that they can rely on their
band of loyal supporters to support them when they play and a lot of bands should learn from the fact that you need
to have that kind of support to make itin the business. SPYDERBABY have it - they just need to carry on what they are doing and
keep on building a National following. That way they will in time reach their true goals.
A relly big thank you to all 3 bands for their contributions to the evening and thanks to all who came along. Also thanks to Pat on the door who must have read his newspaper a dozen times,
to Mike, Scarlet and the young lady with the purple streaked hair who looked after the bar and to Mark who worked hard
on the sound for the bands. Thank you The Joiners.

THIS WEEK'S DARLINGS
From Surrey
PROJECT WINTERHAVEN
From Gold Coast, Australia
An outstanding show with 3 outstanding bands making it an evening to remember. Thanks to the bands who took part and everyone who came along to
enjoy this great night of great music.
The night started with
Project Winterhaven, a unique band from Australia who have performed all over the world and played alongside some top bands and performers.
Many thanks to the drummer, Chubbs, who flew back from Australia specially to appear at this event. The band made a major
impression on the Southampton audience playing a range of their quality music and showed how versatile and talented they really are.
Read their review on their "featured" webpage here and be sure to see them if they play near to you.
Thank you Project Winterhaven.
Project Winterhaven were followed by a 4 piece band from Surrey - This Week's Darlings" who really put on an enjoyable show for the Southampton audience. An extremely talented group of young people they
performed outstandingly and it is truly understandable why they were chosen by ex-Beatle Pete Best to support him on one of his UK tours.
Playing a selection of their own self written material they captured the attention of the audience and gave a faultless and enjoyable
performance. Check out their review here. Thanks This Week's Darlings
Final act of the night was local Eastleigh (Southampton) band jMU - a four piece alternative melodic rock band who put on a
quality performance of their own self written material as well as a couple of covers. Playing in fornt of their "home" crowd they
certainly got the night rocking and were an excellent end to a great night of music. Check out jMU's review here. Thank you jMU
