About "M.O.T." |
M.O.T are a 5 piece North London band formed in 1998 by songwriters Philip McGuirk and Ryan O'Donovan who met at school and have benn
best friends since. Influenced greatly by The Jam, The Beatles and The Kinks something which comes across strongly in their self-written music. In the early days,
they played venues around Tottenham, Camden and Islington. March 2001 saw a
turning point in the band's direction, when Ryan's younger
brother Sam joined. Sam shared the same enthusiasm and
musical tastes as the other two. Sam persuaded Lan Gaglione
to join the band on Bass after having spent many hours
jamming with him when they were at school together.
Dan Fossard joined the band on drums at the same time and by March 2001 M.O.T. were complete

STYLE/GENRE OF MUSIC |
M.O.T. play a distinctive style of melodic pop rock and
with over 70 songs written by themselves have a
great set for any venue. Their influences - The Jam, The Beatles and The Kinks etc -
do shine through strongly -
quality music from a quality band - they certainly pass
the MOT!!!

| Listen to The Music |
The CD I have listened to is really excellent and shows the true potential of this hard
working band - their tracks are melodic and well put together. You can buy copies of their CD at their gigs
but really this should be out on general release coz it would sell loads.
